Zero Suicide Village

 Let women do the talking!
And I mean it!..

All of our time we have been hearing sad news of farmers committing suicide because of drought or famine! Ever heard that the women of the hamlet saved the farmers from committing suicide. And with their will and wisdom they had the turnover of the village over 1 crore and they are generating jobs.

Well this is the story of an ordinary village having extraordinary courageous women of Hinglajwadi in Maharasthra where women do the talking and men take pride in it.

Few years back like any other village committing suicide by farmers was a common sight for them.

The plight of the lady of the house worsens as she has to pay the debts and a family to feed. Eventually she is forced to work in farms and her children drop out from the school. But the women of this village took the command in their hands and were determined to overcome the suicides.

They came up with a remarkable business model.

They asked for a small piece of land from their husbands. Initially they were reluctant to give them but later they agreed. Women started growing things which require less water like pulses and vegetables and instead of purchasing the pesticides from the market they used organic pesticides. It reduced their cost of growing the crops. They grew enough for their families and they started selling the surplus vegetables. Instead of growing cash crops they started poultry farms, goat rearing, dairy business and beauty parlors. They went to government officials to take the aid which government grants to farmers. They did everything possible to make their business model a  hit with limited resources. Their happiness and courage multiplied 10 times when their own man started coming to seek advice from them. Now no man commits suicide and even if their is a deficit of rainfall they have enough to survive.  Even money lenders are out of there job now.

This is what real women empowerment is. If women is given the power they can bring happiness even to a dead land.

Learn to be Brave: Contrast

Helpless Women to SuPerWomen.

Two Girls Different Stories

This is a story of a young 15 year old girl who has just entered in her teens. The victim, is a class 9th student from Uttar Pradesh, India. Like any ordinary day she was walking in her nearby market where she was again chased by her stalker.

She was fending off his advances for a while. She also informed her parents about him. So on that day too he was stalking him and she warned him not to do that again. He couldn't tolerate him being rebuffed by a girl so he chopped off her hand with a sword. He tried a lot to chop her other hand aswell but a group of people catch hold of him. Police came and he was arrested and girl was send to the hospital.

Although the man has been caught but the little girl lost his arm for life.

The Contrast

This is a story of a brave Delhi University girl. She was travelling to her Nanny's house via rickshaw when suddenly a phone snatcher snatched her phone. She without wasting any further second jumped off the rickshaw and started chasing the snatcher. She took an empty 20 litre water bottle lying on the road in hand and again started running towards him. As soon as she got hold off him she started beating him with the water bottle and didn't stop till he himself sat on road on his knees.
With one hand on his collor she dialed 100. Police came on the spot and arrested him.

This is the story of bravery and courage. She already knew she would chase him and would caught him.

The need oft he hour is to make yourself stronger with your body and with your mind.

 Lets take a PLEDGE

I will not get scared, I will fight back.

I will not be weak, I will be the strongest.

Lets pledge!

I will not not be the victim anymore but a warrior.

Women Empowerment: The True Sense

Today Women empowerment is so wrongly portrayed.

Its not about wearing skinny clothes,
its about wearing anything and feeling confident about it.

Its not about asking for alimony money,
its about taking care of herself and her family on her own.

Its not about asking for reservation for being a weaker gender,
its about working hard and earning the position because you deserve to be there

Its about choosing the unconventional path and let the world know you have arrived!

Declared dead a day earlier, newborn dies

A newborn barely a day old at Safdarjung Hospital died. The child's mother was only 24 weeks pregnant. According to the hospital authorities it was a case of abortion because technically a child born before 24 weeks of pregnancy and weight less than 500 grams cannot survive. So they declared him dead earlier although he was still breathing

Now my view----

That newborn could be alive if proper treatment would have been given to him. A day before his death hospital authorities handed over the child in a polythene to his father and insisted him to bury him . How disgusting is that?

If the patient comes to the hospital, he comes with some hopes and expectations . They cannot escape from  the huge mistake they have done simply by saying that the child wouldn't have survived so we declared him dead. I mean didn't your heart cry out loud ?? How can you declare a living person as dead.

Ok Emotions one side---

Strict actions should be taken against the doctor's negligence. Baby's mother who is still aligning with pain due to her ill health and the loss of the baby, should be given proper treatment w/o any cost. Compensation amount should also be given to the father who is a daily wager. In addition to this a written apology from the doctor should be given and his licence to practice medical should be revoked so that in future such instances can be avoided!

Justice Done!

My DreamLand

My Dream Land

I have always dreamt of a world where women are not judged and they can be free souls. They can concentrate more on the things they want to achieve or what to become rather worrying about their saftey. Whenever a girl has to decide her job or go for her aspirations, the first thing which her parents are concern about is her safety.

I dream of a day when a girl can do whatever she wants to do without worrying anything else. She is happy and her parents are assured about her well being. Can we provide her this kind of world? I want to ask Men. Can you let her be herself?

Let me Dream
Let me Breath
Let me feel the cool Breeze
I am just like you
No Less No More
I am your daughter, sister or your wife
all I want is to be myself! Can you give my freedom back?
